Karen Murrell Summer Bouquet Lipsticks Review
Today I’m going to review 5 beautiful lipsticks from the Karen Murrell Summer Bouquet collection. For those of you who do not know. Karen Murrell is a New Zealand brand which makes cruelty, chemical, paraben and preservatives free lipsticks. Even their lipstick packaging is eco-friendly. This is going to be a picture heavy post. Below is the video review on my Youtube channel or you can just continue to read the post.
Karen Murrell Summer Bouquet Lipsticks are almost pastel shades with satin, creamy finish. The lipstick shades are inspired by the summer flower colors. The lipsticks are moisturizing and do not dry out lips. They do not bleed either. These are creamy but not overly creamy and hence a lip liner is not necessary. However, if you do have pigmented lips, you may require a lip liner for the lighter colors. Most of these do not show true colors with flash photography.
Karen Murrell Summer Bouquet Lipsticks are very opaque. One swipe of the darker colors is enough to cover pigmented lips. although for the lighter colors, you require 2-3 swipes. I did notice that these seem to settle in fine lines. The staying power is about 5 hours which is good for a creamy lipstick. Karen Murrell Summer Bouquet Lipsticks have a strong cinnamon smell, which doesn’t really bother me. They seem to fade away after application and do not linger.
Shelf Life: 1 year.

In all the lip swatches below I have not used a lip liner to show you the true color and opaqueness.
is a mix of fushia and neon pink. It looks fushia in person but photographs as a neon pink with flash.
is a light pink and will suit fair to medium skin tonnes.
is a lovely light nude for Indian skin tonnes and will suit unpigmented lips.
is a bright neon peachy coral and it does not look very flattering on me.
is a light lavender shade and my least favorite of all. It will suit fair skin tonnes.
