What Maybelline Claims:
For Cheeks that glow with a natural finish
Ultra light weight, silky, blendable powders.
Meet the new blush on the block.
So Silky and smooth, it blends flawlessly for the most natural finish.
Soft texture for a natural hue.
Easily blends with your skin color.
Today im going to talk about the natural homemade scrub that I use.
I always thought natural remedies never work compared to chemical skincare products.
Lately I’ve switched to natural home remedies for skin problems.
And their working wonders for my skin.
Also this natural scrub doesn’t cause ant breakouts.
So the only scrub that i use twice a week or whenever I feel like I need some facial scrubbing is a paste of baking soda and water.
Yes that its, thats the scrub I use.
I have oily combination skin.
Actually an oily T-zone on my nose and the rest of the skin is normal.
But my face tends to look oily if I don’t control the oil.
So this scrub is not very gentle nor very harsh, But perfect for facial skin.
it has medium coarse crystals of Sodium Bi-carbonate.
Sodium Bi-carbonate is actually baking soda in common terms.
Don’t get confused with baking powder, thats a bit different, as baking soda is a more pure form of Sodium Bi-carbonate.
Baking Soda Scrub is Useful and recommended for:
Oily, combination skin & normal skin types.
To Reduces large pores.
If you have whiteheads and blackheads.
Some say, it even helps acne. I haven’t checked on that yet.
But i do feel when you keep the oil under control, thats a preventing acne and breakouts.
At least for me.
How to make the Baking Soda Scrub:
Mix half teaspoon on Baking Soda with some drops of water to make a medium consistency paste.
Scrub for about 10-15 seconds, not more.
Do not use near delicate eye area.
wash off with cold water.
Follow with a moisturizer or a sunscreen if you’re going out
Not suitable for dry and sensitive skin.
little redness is expected after usage.
However, reduce the quantity of Baking soda in the scrub next time, if you experience redness.
May irritate sensitive skin.
Do not use over existing acne.
Moisturisation is a must after using this scrub because its quite drying.
Also remember to use a sunscreen if you ex-foliate, before stepping out in the sun.

Shine Conrtol – Blend of water and sebum repellent powders keep skin shine free, perfectly matte and fresh.

My Experience: Maybelline Clear Glow All In One Fairness Compact Powder is my second compact after Avon simply pretty.
What I absolutely love about the Maybelline Clear Glow Compact is that its so fine and doesn’t not scratch my skin.
Blends like a dream with a powder brush.
Also the Sand Beige shade that i have suits my skin tone perfectly.
Even though this is the darkest shade, as it looks in the pan, its quite sheer and would look good on medium skin tones.
Usually powders tend to look whitish on the skin, so its always a wise decision to pick a shade darker than your natural skin tone.
Thats what I did and it doesn’t look whitish at all.
Its a cream to powder Compact and can be used in wet and dry form.
I haven’t yet dried the wet form but the sponge provided along with this compact would be helpful when using in wet form.
However,Maybelline Clear Glow All In One Fairness Compact Powder is not very good at oil control.
My T-zone starts becoming oily only after 2 hours of application.
Maybelline Clear Glow All In One Fairness Compact Powder comes with a broad or full spectrum protection of SPF 26 PA+++.
Which means its gives total protection against UVA and UVB rays up to an hour in the sun.
Also I didn’t see in skin lightening, as it claims to be a fairness compact.
It gives light coverage and looks better when worn over liquid foundation.
I use it over my Lotus Purestay Foundation review HERE and its looks flawless.
Overall its a very good quality product for the price.
Good shade selection
Has SPF 26 PA+++
No shade available for dark skin tone
does not control oil effectively, less staying power.
Fairness claim is not true.
Would i buy Maybelline Clear Glow All In One Fairness Compact Powder Again:
Well I would like to try other compacts, but yes if I don’t find my perfect shade, I’m definately coming back to this.

Hi guys, todays post is on Lotus Herbals Purestay foundation Review.
I know im writing a post after a long time, due to my busy schedule. But im back with a bang.
So moving back to the review, lets have a look at some product specifications.

This new luminous formula hydrates skin, diminishes appearance of fine lines without clogging pores, delays ageing and offers broad spectrum UV protection SPF 20.

: It comes with a nozzle as well as screw cap on a plastic transparent bottle. the nozzle does not have any cap or cover.
: is thick and smooth. It and blends well on oily skin.
: Now this is the best part of the product.
It smells heavenly. I’ve never seen any foundation with such good mild fragrance.
Its not too strong either too irritate sensitive noses.
Bright Angel – For very fair skin with pink undertones
Royal Ivory – For fair skin with yellow undertones
Hazelnut Star – For medium wheatish skin
Almond – For dusky dark skin.
My view on Lotus Herbals Purestay Foundation:
The shade I got was Hazelnut star.
My skin type is medium, combination and breakout prone.
Almost any product I use on my skin, gives me breakouts.
I guess my skin loves to be naked.
Coming back to the shade, Hazelnut star suits most Indian skin tones.
The foundation that I was using before this was Lakme 9 to 5 foundation in Shade Shell.
Even though I have combination skin, I still found the Lakme one too powdery and difficult to blend without a moisturiser.
Also it looked ghostly white in photos and in person.
But the Lotus Hazelnut is quite similar to the Lakme shell shade.
Lotus Herbals Purestay foundation is blend-able.
I find it easier to blend on moisturized skin, But blends well on non-moisturized skin as well.
The finish is not matte or dewy but semi-matte or satiny is what I can say.
This foundation does not streak at all and can give an air-brushed look when applied with a brush.
When applied over moisturizer, the staying power decreases, if powder is not used.
I generally skip the powder because I mostly use this foundation when I’m indoors in an AC environment.
So when i applied it with moisturizer it stayed matte for about 2 hours.
And without moisturizer, it stayed intact for a good 5 hours.
I would say if you want to use a moisturizer, use powder to set your make-up base.
The coverage is medium to heavy which is build able.
The best part about this foundation is that the shade is so close to my exact skin tone.
I’m someone who’s never found the skin tone match in any other foundations that I’ve tried till date.
Now you know why I’m so impressed with this foundation.
Another thing i like about it, is that it blends really well.
Does not oxidize or change color.
Feels light on skin, non-cakey, non-streaky.
medium to heavy coverage
Breaks me out, even though it claims to be oil free & non pore clogging.
Dispenser nozzle exposed to bacteria & dirt with no cap.
Non- travel friendly, as the dispenser nozzle cannot be locked & has no cap.
Bit Expensive for an introductory product.
